Advisory Member

PAL/TWC Program Director

I am passionate about assisting families and individuals who need any type of assistance.  I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Hardin-Simmons University and then pursued my Master’s from Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio.  My career started at the Department of Family and Protective Services working with families who have had complications in their life and needed some assistance to get everything back on track.  I absolutely love to see success stories of reunification within the families that are involved with that agency.  My passion has always been to work with young adults who aged out of foster care and to assist transitioning them into a successful and healthy adult life, which is exactly what I am currently able to do.  I am currently on the Taylor County Child Welfare Board and Education and Child Welfare Working Group.  I recently started a ministry at my local church to assist with recruiting and equipping foster parents and wrap around support for foster parents, kinship placements, and we hope to wrap around biological families.  I love my community and desire to help others overcome some of life’s hardest challenges.  I love to travel with my family and to relax with my cats whenever I can.
